Volunteer - Its all about the Children Contact: Carol Herscovitz Email: mrt.volunteer@gmail.com Home:503.987.1484 Cell:503.863.4119 Races available for volunteering: Meadows Challenge: March 3rd and 4th Championship GS: March 18th WintersEnd Slalom: Date TBA
Types of Volunteer Opportunities Available: Gate Keeper While this is the hardest job on the hill it is the most important and your participation in this critical position is key to the success of any race. The most important decision you will make is correct or direct passage of your assigned gates. Course Crew Your the crew that makes the surface of the race usable. You are the person that the kids depend on to make it the best race possible. Course crew like the gate judge is an integral part to ski racing. Without volunteers to help keep the race venue SAFE and pristine our kids would not be the shining stars that they are. Come out, volunteer, pick up a shovel or a rack and say " Lets make it a great day" Scoreboard You are the key to the results that parents and kids are waiting for. Work on the scoreboard recording times for all to see. Bib Prep/Bib Collection Bib prep in the morning is critical. Every racer must get the right bib and just as important is to insure that we get them all back at the end of the day. |
